FunKe Science had the opportunity to attend the 2024 Stan chart marathon on Sunday 27th October as vendors in the kid section under Kinderville school. The day kicked off quite early as we were expected to have arrived at Uhuru Gardens at 4am in the morning in order to set up and give room for the runners to register in good time.

We attended this event to do some experiments with the kids and also get the word out About our STEM festival to parents present and other exhibitors who would be interested in participating in our STEM Festival.

We had kids from the age of four to ten years visit our booth and do a few of the experiments we had. IWe are comfortable saying that our hands on experiments and activities really intrigued not only learners but also their parents as we had parents requesting to also join in doing the experiments alongside their children. While still trying to figure out how the experiment worked and try and figure the tricks if there were any.

Part of our team also decided to hand out fliers for the festival to the people who were not present at the Kid section.  We also had the pleasure of meeting the team from SOL kids and also got a chance to see a bit of their puppet show which caught not just the kid’s attention but also the attention of everyone present at the kid section.

The event came to an end early, by 3pm, thus allowing the team to close up shop early and interact with other vendors and visit other open booths to discover what was at the event.
